Walther Spray valve WSV
The WSV Spray Valve is a versatile electric spray valve designed for the reliable and uniform application of low- to high-viscosity media. With its compact design (134.5 x 25 x 45 mm) and integrated electronics, it is suitable for direct integration into both existing and new production systems without requiring additional control technology or software. An Ethernet-based bus connection enables full parameterization and visualization of all process parameters via a web-based dashboard.
The WSV Spray Valve is equipped with four digital inputs/outputs (DIOs) for controlling peripheral devices, a valve heater with temperature control for targeted medium tempering, and a pressure sensor for monitoring and analyzing the process pressure profile. These features provide a high level of flexibility and process reliability. An integrated push button enables manual valve actuation for immediate inspection of the spray pattern, further facilitating commissioning and maintenance.
Available Versions: The WSV Spray Valve is available in three versions to meet diverse application requirements. The BASIC model serves as the standard, offering integrated control and parameterization via the dashboard. The ADVANCED variant includes additional features with integrated medium temperature control. The PROFESSIONAL version provides comprehensive process monitoring, including pressure profile analysis.
Flexible Process Control: With real-time monitoring and documentation of process parameters, the WSV Spray Valve offers intelligent options for improving process capability, optimizing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and enhancing product quality. Remote parameterization and diagnostics via the web interface enable efficient detection and resolution of issues. Alarms and notifications are freely configurable and can be linked to specific process parameters.
Compact and Cost-Efficient: All three versions of the WSV have identical dimensions, simplifying installation and integration of the WSV variants across various systems. The modular design of the spray valve also allows for easy replacement of individual components, reducing maintenance costs and minimizing downtime.
With its high functional integration, the smart WSV offers a cost-effective alternative to conventional valve solutions. Compared to pneumatic or hydraulic systems, the WSV’s electric actuation enables precise control and conserves energy, particularly advantageous for energy-intensive applications, leading to lower operational costs.
Optional software add-ons, such as "Ethernet Bus System," "Valve Needle Stroke Monitoring," and "Multi-Parameter Sets," are available to extend the functionality of the WSV Spray Valve. Firmware updates can be applied independently, allowing continuous optimization of valve functions.
